On Saturday, November 12, 2016, the Mount Diablo Silverado
Council, Boy Scouts of America will be conducting our 37th annual “Harvest
in the Vineyards Gift and Wine Benefit Auction” at the Charles Krug Winery. Over the past 37 years, the event has raised
over $1 million dollars in support of the Council’s Scouting programs.
Mt. Diablo Silverado Council supports Scouting programs for more than 12,000
young people in the Napa Valley and throughout the counties of Napa, Lake,
Contra Costa, Solano and northern Alameda for boys and girls. In
addition, BSA members and volunteers provide some of the highest number of
hours nationwide to support our national and state parks and forests and
projects to sustain our environment.
Cub and Boy Scouting’s positive, influential impact stems from the program, through other Scouts, and the Scout leaders. Scouts find self improvement through learning critical life skills, a greater appreciation for the outdoors and how to be involved in the local community and make a difference. The program teaches the importance of character building, teamwork and leadership skills that will last the Scout a life time.
